AMX DGX1600-ENC Enova® DGX 1600 Enclosure

The Enova DGX 1600 Enclosure (DGX1600-ENC) is a high-performance digital media switcher built to handle 4K and Ultra High Definition (UHD) content. It features a built-in NetLinx® NX Integrated Controller, redundant power supplies, and supports Enova DGX video input and output boards, along with optional audio-switching boards. Each video board provides four connections, and the enclosure can house up to four input and four output boards, enabling a maximum 16×16 matrix configuration.

The DGX 1600 introduces advanced features such as automatic DXLink endpoint configuration, unified IP addressing for multiple endpoints, and a redesigned web interface that greatly simplifies installation and system management. Optional advanced audio switching boards provide audio breakaway capabilities and parametric EQ on each output.

More than just a modular switcher with an integrated controller, the DGX 1600 serves as the central hub of a complete AV distribution solution. It manages analog and digital audio/video signals—including HDMI with HDCP—along with control and Ethernet. AMX’s exclusive InstaGate Pro® Technology ensures seamless HDCP integration, eliminating the need for tools, delays, or key restrictions and enabling true plug-and-play operation.

The system works with DXLink and DGX transmitters and receivers to provide full end-to-end distribution over twisted pair cabling or fiber. An integrated NetLinx NX Controller and embedded Ethernet switch allow centralized control of all source and display devices throughout the environment from a single point.

InstaGate Pro eliminates HDCP switching delays and key-limited source restrictions, while SmartScale® Technology ensures video outputs are perfectly scaled to match each connected display. The combination of analog-to-digital conversion, video scaling, and high-speed digital switching guarantees optimal video quality regardless of signal type.

As part of a full distribution system, the DGX 1600 can transmit analog and digital audio/video—including HDMI with HDCP—over single-mode fiber up to 10 km, multimode fiber up to 300 meters, or standard twisted-pair cabling up to 100 meters (with power), using DXLink transmitters and receivers.
