AWC 62

The JBL AWC62 is a compact, two-way, full-range loudspeaker featuring a coaxial driver design, built for exceptional weather resistance. It's well-suited for delivering both speech and music in a wide range of environments, such as sports venues, racetracks, stadiums, amusement parks, cruise ships, aquatic centers, and other outdoor or indoor locations that demand durability and clear sound coverage.

At the heart of the AWC62 is a powerful 165 mm (6.5 in) low-frequency driver paired with a 25 mm (1 in) high-frequency compression driver. The unique coaxial configuration uses a tapered pole-piece design that transitions into the LF cone, forming a large-diameter high-frequency waveguide. This innovative approach reduces high-frequency beaming, ensuring smooth and consistent 110° dispersion across a wide frequency range.

Key driver features include a Kevlar-reinforced LF cone for strength, a well-damped surround for clean response, a heat-resistant voice coil, and magnet geometry engineered to reduce distortion.

The rugged enclosure is made of thick ABS blended with fiberglass and reinforced internally for enhanced bass performance. Its paintable finish allows visual integration in various settings. The front grille is constructed from zinc-rich powder-coated steel and backed with foam and mesh layers, offering strong defense against the elements. When mounted with at least a 5° downward tilt, the system achieves an IP-56 rating under IEC529 standards.

The AWC62 includes a built-in 120W multi-tap transformer for 70V/100V distributed audio systems. Wiring is handled through weatherproof terminals housed in a recessed cup, complete with a protective cover and a gland nut to seal round cables between 4 mm and 9 mm in diameter.

A heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant U-bracket is included for secure, outdoor-ready mounting.
