The Yamaha BB734A DCS is a premium 4-string electric bass designed for professional versatility and modern performance. Finished in a stylish Dark Coffee Sunburst (DCS), it blends classic BB aesthetics with advanced features for today’s players.

It features a unique alder/maple/alder body construction, giving it a rich, punchy midrange and excellent sustain. The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck uses Yamaha’s signature 6-bolt miter neck joint for exceptional stability and resonance transfer. A smooth rosewood fingerboard offers comfortable playability with a familiar 34" scale length.

The bass comes equipped with powerful YGD Custom V7 pickups (P/J configuration) for deep, warm lows and clear, articulate highs. A standout feature is its active/passive switchable preamp with a 3-band EQ, letting you easily switch from classic passive warmth to modern active punch on the fly.

The Vintage Plus bridge with diagonal string-through design improves vibration transfer and sustain, while lightweight open-gear tuners keep tuning stable and reduce overall weight.
