The Yamaha BB734A FRD is a professional-level 4-string electric bass guitar from Yamaha’s renowned BB series, finished in a bold Fire Red. It combines classic BB character with modern versatility, making it a powerful tool for live performance and studio work.

Built with a three-layer alder/maple/alder body, it delivers strong attack and rich midrange while retaining warmth. The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck, joined with Yamaha’s unique 6-bolt miter joint, ensures outstanding stability, great sustain, and smooth resonance transfer to the body.

The rosewood fingerboard offers a comfortable feel, and the 34" scale makes it familiar and easy to play.

Equipped with YGD Custom V7 pickups in a P/J configuration, the BB734A FRD produces a deep, punchy low end with articulate highs. It features a switchable active/passive preamp and a 3-band EQ, giving you the flexibility to move from classic passive tones to more modern, aggressive active sounds at the flip of a switch.
