The Yamaha BB735A FRD (Fire Red) is a premium 5-string bass designed for professional players who need maximum versatility and stage-ready performance.

It features a solid body crafted with an alder/maple/alder construction, which provides a powerful, punchy midrange and strong low end. The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck uses Yamaha’s advanced 6-bolt miter joint, improving sustain, stability, and resonance. A smooth rosewood fingerboard ensures comfort and precise playability.

Equipped with YGD Custom V7 pickups (split single-coil P-style at the neck and J-style single-coil at the bridge), this bass offers a broad tonal palette — from deep, vintage warmth to crisp, articulate highs. Its active/passive switchable preamp with a 3-band EQ lets you dial in your sound exactly as needed, whether you want classic passive tones or powerful, modern active sounds.
