The Yamaha BB735A TMBL (Translucent Matte Black) is a high-end 5-string bass built for serious performers who need both versatility and reliability on stage or in the studio.

It features an alder/maple/alder body construction, delivering a tight, focused tone with excellent sustain and punchy mids. The 5-piece maple and mahogany neck, paired with a rosewood fingerboard, provides smooth playability and a comfortable feel across all frets. Yamaha’s 6-bolt miter neck joint design further improves stability and resonance.

This bass is equipped with Yamaha YGD Custom V7 pickups in a P/J (Precision/Jazz) configuration, giving you a wide range of tonal options — from deep, warm lows to bright, articulate highs. It also includes an active/passive switch and a 3-band EQ, letting you instantly shift between modern, powerful active tones and classic passive sounds with ease.

The Vintage Plus bridge offers excellent sustain and flexibility with both string-through and top-loading options. Open-gear lightweight tuners keep the bass well-balanced and stable during long performances.
