The Yamaha BBP34 VS is a professional-grade, Japan-made 4-string bass that delivers classic BB tone and feel with refined modern upgrades. Finished in a beautifully warm Vintage Sunburst, it embodies a timeless aesthetic with rich vintage vibes.

This bass features a lightweight alder/maple/alder body, which combines warmth, clarity, and punch. Yamaha’s Initial Response Acceleration (IRA) treatment enhances resonance and sustain, making the bass feel “broken in” and lively from the very first play.

The 5-piece maple and mahogany bolt-on neck uses a unique 6-bolt miter neck joint, maximizing stability and ensuring efficient vibration transfer from neck to body for excellent sustain and attack. The smooth rosewood fingerboard has 21 frets and offers a familiar, comfortable playing feel.

For electronics, the BBP34 VS is equipped with custom V7 Alnico V pickups in a PJ configuration (split single-coil in the neck, single-coil in the bridge), giving you a versatile tonal palette ranging from deep, fat lows to crisp, articulate highs. The simple passive control layout includes two independent volume knobs and a master tone knob, making it intuitive to shape your sound on the fly.
