The Shure A2WS‑BLK is a locking microphone windscreen designed to reduce unwanted breath and wind noise during close‑talk and outdoor applications. It helps minimize plosive sounds (“pops” and “ticks”) when a speaker or performer speaks or sings closely into the microphone, and shields the microphone from rushing and whistling sounds caused by wind.
