JBL Control 14C/T-BK Overview

The JBL Control 14C/T-BK is a black, full-range in-ceiling loudspeaker featuring a 4-inch (100 mm) advanced cone woofer and a 19 mm liquid-cooled soft-dome tweeter. These components are housed in a vented, UV-resistant baffle made from UL94-V0 and UL94-5HB compliant material, which is also paintable to blend with any interior. A pre-mounted blind-mount backcan is included for fast, hassle-free installation.

This speaker is rated to handle 60 watts of continuous program power (30W pink noise, 120W peak) at 8 ohms. It offers a broad frequency response of 74 Hz to 20 kHz and a wide 120° coverage angle for effective sound dispersion in various environments.

The Control 14C/T-BK is compatible with both high-impedance (70V/100V) distributed audio systems and standard low-impedance setups. Its built-in transformer provides multiple tap settings: 25W, 12.5W, and 6.3W at both 70V and 100V, plus a 3.2W tap available exclusively for 70V systems.
