JBL Control 47HC Overview

The JBL Control 47HC is a white, passive 6.5" coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker engineered for clear voice projection and foreground music in spaces with high ceilings, such as restaurants, retail shops, and similar venues. Designed for single-unit use, it includes a built-in 60W multi-tap transformer, making it compatible with 70V, 100V, or 8-ohm amplifiers (sold separately).

This speaker features a rugged 6.5" polypropylene woofer and a 1" soft dome tweeter, delivering a frequency range of 70 Hz to 14 kHz and handling up to 150W of continuous program power. Leveraging JBL’s Radiation Boundary Integration (RBI) technology and an 11" waveguide, it offers a focused 75° coverage angle for improved speech clarity. The Control 47HC also comes with user-friendly installation components, including removable locking input connectors, a detachable grille, paint shield, cutout template, and a C-ring with tile rails.
