DAS Audio ALTEA-718A – Powered 18" Subwoofer System

Deep. Powerful. Precise. The ALTEA-718A is a powered subwoofer designed to complement DAS Audio’s ALTEA full-range systems, delivering extended low-frequency response with precision and power.

At the heart of the system is the DAS 18FW4 bass loudspeaker, featuring a FEM-optimized high-efficiency design and an extended 3" voice coil for long excursion. Advanced cooling is achieved through a vented pole piece and multiple apertures in the speaker’s backplate, minimizing power compression and ensuring high acoustic output over extended periods.

The subwoofer is driven by a cutting-edge 1200 Wpeak Class D amplifier, providing ample power for demanding applications. The rear panel includes balanced input connectors and stereo loop-thru outputs for easy integration with ALTEA satellite systems. Digital presets via the DAScontrol™ interface allow for quick and precise tuning, ensuring seamless setup with full-range ALTEA systems.

The ALTEA-718 is the passive variant, intended for use with external amplification and outboard DSP, offering flexibility for custom installations.
