Description:
The DAS Audio EVENT-118A is a high-performance powered subwoofer featuring a front-loaded 18″ low-frequency transducer (18FWN) designed for deep, precise bass reinforcement. Engineered as the companion subwoofer for the EVENT-28A line array, it shares a compatible rigging system, allowing the EVENT-28A to be flown from or stacked above the EVENT-118A with ease.

The 18FWN transducer is optimized using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and equipped with neodymium magnets for reduced weight. An extended 3″ voice coil ensures high efficiency and long excursion, providing a peak power handling of 2000 W. Cooling is enhanced with a vented pole piece and multiple backplate apertures, reducing power compression and allowing consistent high-output performance over long periods.

A Class D amplifier powers the system, delivering 1000 W continuous (2000 W peak). Rear-panel Neutrik® XLR inputs and stereo “loop-thru” outputs allow seamless signal distribution to EVENT-28A units or other system components. The built-in DAScontrol™ interface simplifies setup with accessible digital presets, including cardioid mode for paired or grouped deployments to reduce rearward sound radiation and improve bass coverage.

The cabinet is constructed from durable birch plywood and finished with DAS ISO-flex protective coating for long-term reliability in touring and installation applications. Rigging hardware is fully compatible with EVENT-28A line arrays, and a top pole-mount socket enables flexible combo configurations with compatible full-range systems.
