The DAS Audio EVENT-28A is a compact, powered two-way line array speaker designed for high performance and effortless deployment. Its durable polypropylene cabinet combines portability, roadworthiness, and robust construction, making it ideal for small to mid-size rental and installation applications where clear, powerful sound is required.

This system features two 8″ neodymium cone transducers and a single M-60 compression driver housed in a lightweight polymer cabinet. The symmetric “V” configuration of the cone transducers provides consistent 100º horizontal coverage down to 200 Hz, while the M-60 driver, coupled with an advanced waveguide, controls vertical dispersion and ensures precise alignment between units in vertical arrays. The neodymium magnets enhance efficiency and reduce overall weight, delivering excellent low-frequency response.

Powered by a two-channel Class D amplifier with 650 W continuous (1300 W peak) output, the EVENT-28A includes high-quality Neutrik® XLR and powerCON connections. The DAScontrol™ interface allows quick preset selection depending on the number of units in the array. Onboard DSP with a 24-bit processor manages crossover, EQ, delay, and limiting, while FIR filtering maintains constant phase response for clear, transparent sound.

Deployment is simplified with the Fast Set Splay (FSS™) rigging system, allowing precise angle adjustments while stacked. Stainless-steel rigging hardware supports flown arrays of up to 16 units in 1º increments from 0º to 10º. For enhanced low-frequency support, the EVENT-28A pairs with the flyable EVENT-118A subwoofer. Weighing 20 kg, it balances portability with professional-grade performance.
