Description:
The DAS Audio EVENT-S218A is a high-output, self-powered subwoofer engineered for professional touring, rental, and installation applications. Designed to deliver extended low-frequency performance with exceptional SPL capability and precise control, it provides powerful, distortion-free sub-bass even at extreme volume levels.

This subwoofer features two 18″ neodymium transducers in a bass-reflex design. Each 18ESN driver incorporates a 4″ dual-layer voice coil, enhancing power handling, magnetic efficiency, thermal stability, and reducing distortion. Advanced finite-element simulations optimize suspension performance and mechanical stability, ensuring consistent tonal quality across the low-frequency spectrum.

The cabinet is built from multi-layer birch plywood for maximum rigidity and long-term durability. Finished with black ISOFlex polyurea coating, it resists impacts and harsh conditions while maintaining a professional appearance. The integrated amplifier module includes a rain cover for additional protection, and the cabinet’s design allows vertical placement using bottom or side feet. Two M20 mounting points on the top and side panels provide flexible integration with point-source systems or the TRD-8 telescopic accessory.

Power is delivered through a four-channel Class-D amplifier with a universal switch-mode power supply. Operating in bridged mode per 8-Ω transducer, the system provides 2250 W continuous and up to 4500 W peak, ensuring efficient, reliable, and high-performance output. The onboard DSP includes presets, cardioid mode for paired or grouped units, and a user-friendly display with encoder. Wi-Fi connectivity allows firmware updates via a web-server app for ongoing system enhancements.
