Picture this: a bi-timbral, 8-voice-stereo (16-voice mono) synthesizer that combines the infinite possibilities of high-fidelity stereo samples with the awesome sound and synthesis capabilities you've come to expect from the Dave Smith Prophet series. At the heart of the Prophet X is a new sound engine that powers two simultaneous 16-bit, 48kHz sample-based instruments plus two high-resolution digital oscillators with wave shape modulation- all processed through stereo analog filters. The 150 GB sample library was created by acclaimed sound developers 8Dio, and includes acoustic and electronic instruments as well as ambient and cinematic effects. You can shape the samples through loop manipulation, sample stretching, and the Prophet Xs many sound-sculpting functions, including 4 envelope generators, 4 LFOs, a deep modulation matrix, and other tools.
