DBX ZC-FIRE ZonePRO Fire Safety Interface

The Zone Controllers expand the functionality of the DriveRack® and ZonePRO™ systems by providing analog DC voltage logic control for functions including zone source selection, volume adjustment, muting, program or scene selection, and fire safety muting. Using standard CAT5 cabling with RJ-45 connectors, they support cable runs of up to 1,000 feet, providing contractors with a reliable and cost-effective solution.

The ZC-FIRE is a dedicated fire safety interface for ZonePRO™ devices, enabling either system-wide mute or programmable scene selection when triggered by a fire safety system through a relay or control voltage. For integration with alarm systems, a ZC-4 can also be used; guidance is available in the ZC-4 Fire Alarm Integration Guide in the product documentation.

Architects’ and Engineers’ Specifications

The remote controller shall provide:

• Output muting or programmable scene selection for ZonePRO devices

• Connection to a fire safety system via relay or control voltage output

• DIP switches for device identification

• Connection to the processing device via CAT5 cable with RJ-45 connectors

The device shall be the dbx ZC-FIRE remote controller.
