GL1

The Yamaha GL1 is a unique hybrid instrument called a guitalele, blending the portability of a ukulele with the familiar six-string setup of a guitar. Compact and lightweight, it features a spruce top with meranti back and sides, delivering a bright, lively sound. It has a short 17-inch scale length and is tuned like a guitar capoed at the 5th fret (A–D–G–C–E–A), making it easy for guitarists to play standard chord shapes in a higher pitch. The GL1’s small body makes it perfect for travel, casual practice, or musicians with smaller hands.
