The JBL Control 68HP is a full-range, two-way pendant speaker designed to deliver powerful output, excellent clarity, and wide, consistent coverage—ideal for spaces with open ceilings or challenging acoustics. It’s a perfect fit for environments such as retail stores, hotels, gyms, convention centers, exhibition halls, meeting rooms, atriums, museums, and transit hubs.

This speaker is equipped with a robust 200 mm (8-inch) Kevlar-reinforced low-frequency driver and a 50 mm (2-inch) voice coil with a fiberglass former, ensuring strong performance and durability. It also features a coaxially-mounted 25 mm (1-inch) compression driver with a titanium dome and Kapton voice coil former for smooth, high-fidelity output and long-term reliability.

A 68-watt multi-tap transformer is built in for use with 70V/100V distributed systems, and it can be easily switched to 8-ohm direct operation. The speaker’s 110° constant-directivity coverage pattern enables fewer units to cover a larger area effectively, helping reduce overall system costs without compromising performance.

Installation is streamlined thanks to the included secure mounting system. The package provides two complete suspension cable kits—one for primary mounting and one for safety. Each includes an adjustable 4.5-meter galvanized steel wire rope, spring clips, and UL-listed fasteners for easy and flexible installation height adjustment.
