Line Adapter–Converts Balanced Line Level Signals to Microphone Level (50dB Attenuation)

The A15LA is an audio attenuator made by Shure. Its main job is to reduce (attenuate) a line-level or auxiliary-level signal by 50 dB so that it can be safely connected to a microphone-level input. This helps avoid overloading mic inputs when connecting gear that outputs a hotter (higher-level) signal.
