JBL MTC-81BB8 Overview

The JBL MTC-81BB8 is a black, in-ceiling pre-installation backcan built to accommodate the JBL 8138 8-inch ceiling speaker in conjunction with the MTC-81TB8 tile bridge (both sold separately). Featuring a standard 11.25-inch mounting diameter, it offers a generously sized internal volume to enhance low-frequency sound reproduction. For streamlined wiring, it includes five conduit knockouts—one on the top and four around the sides. Its stackable design makes it easy to store, and integrated bend-up mounting straps simplify installation. Constructed from heavy-duty 16-gauge steel, it is finished with a powder coating that resists rust.
