Description
NMX-DEC-N2212A Decoder Overview
The AMX SVSI N2000 Series leverages JPEG2000 compression to deliver HD, cinema-grade video over LAN, making it ideal for applications where video quality is a top priority. The NMX-DEC-N2212A decoder converts networked AV streams back to DVI or HDMI for display on any monitor. When paired with the NMX-ENC-N2121A encoder, virtually any video source can be distributed over an existing IP network, allowing any source to be routed to any display. This enables large, cost-effective switching and distribution systems without proprietary cabling or dedicated switching hardware.
The NMX-DEC-N2212A also features Local Play, which allows users to upload and store up to 8 playlists containing 64 JPEG or PNG files. If a video stream is lost, these stored images are displayed, preventing blank screens.
The decoder includes serial connectivity, a single network port, and AES67 audio support. Note that this model supports digital video output only.
