Description

NMX-ENC-N2135A-C & NMX-DEC-N2235A-C Overview

The SVSI JPEG2000 NMX-ENC-N2135A-C encoder and NMX-DEC-N2235A-C decoder provide one of the most versatile AV-over-IP solutions in the industry. Using JPEG2000 compression, these devices deliver low-latency, cinema-grade HD video, making them ideal for applications that demand uncompromised image quality.

The encoder can distribute virtually any video source onto an existing IP network, making streams available to any endpoint in the facility using copper and/or fiber connectivity. The decoder converts networked AV streams back to HDMI for display. With the ability to route any source to any display, large, cost-effective switching and distribution systems can be deployed without proprietary cabling or dedicated switching hardware. User-selectable bandwidth control (10–200 Mbps) allows fine-tuning of video quality relative to network load.

Key Features

  • Keyboard & Mouse Extension (KVM over IP): Extend control over the network for touchscreens, desktops, and other KVM applications.

  • Security Options: Flexible control over device access. Security can be disabled for open connectivity (e.g., call centers) or enabled to restrict access to specific computers or groups (e.g., command and control environments).

  • Unlimited Matrix Scalability: Any number of inputs can connect to any number of outputs, creating an expandable video matrix of virtually unlimited size.

  • Plug-and-Play Installation: Auto-detect functionality reduces setup and programming time.

  • Design Flexibility: Compatible with all AMX SVSI N2000 Series products, allowing designers to select the appropriate device for each endpoint.

  • Input & Output Scaling: Scaling can be performed in either encoder or decoder to accommodate different sources and display resolutions.

  • Power over Ethernet (PoE): Eliminates the need for local power supply; devices can also be powered via 12VDC for high-density rack installations.

  • Infrared (IR) Control: Emitter connection supports control of IR-only display devices.

  • Fast Installation: Phoenix connectors for power, IR, RS232 serial, and analog audio simplify deployment.

  • Balanced and Unbalanced Audio: Supports embedded 7.1 audio with balanced or unbalanced connections.

  • Pass-Through HDMI: Enables local display integration, e.g., desktop PC monitoring.

  • Multiple Connection Options: RJ45 and SFP network ports, plus HDMI video input/output.

  • KVM Support: Single USB-B host and dual USB-A device ports for KVM-over-IP applications.

  • Control Flexibility: Onboard control or integration with third-party control systems.
