It introduces fresh Room and Hall algorithms alongside a variety of new mono reverbs and effects, expanding Lexicon’s already impressive capabilities.
Drawing from decades of audio expertise, the PCM96 comes loaded with over 1,200 factory presets—some of which are recognizable favorites from Lexicon’s extensive sound library—making it one of the most comprehensive stereo processors available. Enhancing traditional Lexicon reverb effects, the PCM96 features multimode filters placed at key points in the signal chain, enabling precise tonal shaping without sacrificing the signature Lexicon sound. Each reverb also includes an "Infinite" switch, allowing the effect to sustain endlessly, which is ideal for sound design and ambient textures.
The newly designed Room algorithm offers a flexible alternative to convolution reverb, allowing users to customize reflection patterns in real-time—adjusting their scale and EQ, reversing them instantly, or blending them with traditional reverb tails to enhance depth and liveliness in a mix.
