The Yamaha PHXB-2018MRMB is a 20" x 18" bass drum from Yamaha’s flagship PHX (Phoenix) series — known for its ultimate craftsmanship and premium materials.
This drum features an 11-ply hybrid shell, combining hard Jatoba, warm Kapur, and resonant Maple. This construction offers exceptional low-end power, a wide dynamic range, and rich tonal depth.
The shell edges are precisely cut with a 30° bearing edge to enhance attack and focus. It comes undrilled (without tom mounts), maximizing resonance and allowing full shell vibration.
The "MRMB" code stands for Matte Real Black finish, giving the drum a sleek, modern, and luxurious look on stage or in the studio.
