The Yamaha PHXB-2216MGPWH is a 22″ x 16″ bass drum from Yamaha’s top-tier PHX (Phoenix) series, designed for professional drummers who want exceptional tone, power, and a clean, striking look.

It features Yamaha’s signature 11-ply hybrid shell construction, combining a Jatoba core for strong, deep low-end, Kapur plies for warm midrange, and Maple inner and outer plies for bright attack and clear articulation. This design delivers a rich, powerful, and dynamically expressive sound.

A 30-degree bearing edge, specially tailored for bass drums, adds sharp attack and a focused, punchy low end while controlling sustain.

The drum is an undrilled "R-version", meaning there are no tom mount holes in the shell, which allows maximum shell resonance and pure, open tone.
