The PHXB-2416MGPWH is a professional-grade 24" × 16" bass drum from Yamaha’s flagship PHX (Phoenix) series. Built for ultimate projection and tonal depth, it features Yamaha’s unique 11-ply hybrid shell construction — a Jatoba core for strong, punchy lows, intermediate Kapur layers for warmth, and Maple outer plies for clarity.
The drum has a 30° bearing edge specially designed for bass drums, offering focused attack and controlled sustain. Its undrilled shell design (no tom mount holes) maximizes resonance and produces an open, full-bodied low end.
