Shell Construction & Tone

• Hybrid Shell Design: The drum features an 11-ply hybrid shell comprising Jatoba at the core, surrounded by Kapur and Maple inner and outer plies. This combination delivers a balanced tone with enhanced warmth and projection.

• Bearing Edge: Equipped with a 30° bearing edge with an R2 radius, the floor tom produces a warm, rounded tone with excellent sustain, characteristic of PHX floor toms.

• Polar White (MPWH): The drum's finish features a striking polar white lacquer, offering a clean and professional appearance.

? Hardware & Mounting

• Y.E.S.S. II Mounting System: Utilizes Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. II (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System), which employs a shock-isolated maple plate to maximize shell resonance and sustain.

• Die-Cast Aluminum Hoops: The 3.0 mm die-cast aluminum hoops provide precise tuning and contribute to the drum's focused tone.

• Hook Lugs: The new hook lugs with internal lock mechanism minimize shell contact, allowing for greater tonal purity and easier head replacement.
