Description

The Radial Engineering JCR Studio Reamper is a professional passive re-amping interface, designed in collaboration with legendary engineer John Cuniberti, and built for precise studio guitar signal reprocessing and tone shaping.

Engineered for recording workflows, the JCR allows engineers to take a previously recorded dry DI guitar or bass track and send it back out through amplifiers, pedals, and analog effects chains. This makes it possible to experiment with different tones, mic setups, and amp combinations after the performance has already been recorded—without requiring the musician to replay the part.

At its core, the JCR uses a custom high-performance transformer to convert balanced line-level signals from a DAW or audio interface into a true high-impedance instrument-level signal. This ensures that the reamped signal behaves exactly like a real guitar plugged directly into an amplifier, preserving natural feel, dynamics, and interaction with pedals.

As a fully passive design, the JCR requires no power and delivers extremely clean operation with zero electronic noise. The transformer provides full galvanic isolation, helping eliminate ground loops, hum, and interference when integrating computer-based recording systems with analog guitar gear.

The unit also includes level control and filtering tools, giving engineers precise control over signal strength and tonal response before it reaches the amp. This helps optimize gain staging and allows for smoother integration with a wide range of amplifiers and pedal chains.

Key Features:
