The Yamaha RBS-1455SOB Recording Custom Snare Drum is a 14" x 5.5" snare designed for drummers who demand exceptional clarity, precision, and versatility in the studio or on stage.

This snare features a 6-ply, 6 mm North American birch shell, delivering a focused, crisp attack with a warm, controlled low-end. The birch construction, a hallmark of Yamaha’s Recording Custom line, ensures quick response and excellent articulation, making it ideal for a wide range of musical styles.

It sports a 30° bearing edge with an R1.5 radius, contributing to its sharp, articulate sound and wide tuning range. The drum is fitted with 1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops, allowing for an open, resonant tone while maintaining precise control.

The RBS-1455SOB comes equipped with Yamaha's durable Q-type strainer and DC3 butt plate, allowing for smooth and reliable snare adjustments. Its 25-strand high-carbon steel snare wires provide bright, sensitive snare articulation.
