The Yamaha RBT-0807SFG is an 8" x 7" rack tom from the acclaimed Recording Custom series, designed in collaboration with legendary drummer Steve Gadd to deliver superior clarity and projection.

It features a 6-ply (6 mm) North American birch shell, providing a bright, punchy attack and focused, warm sustain — ideal for both studio recording and live performance.

A 30° bearing edge with R1.5 radius ensures excellent head-to-shell contact, giving you a quick response and a wide tuning range. The weighted high-tension lugs further help to control overtones and improve sustain.

The tom is fitted with 1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops, offering a balanced, open tone and solid rimshot feel.

It comes equipped with Yamaha’s Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting, which reduces shell contact and maximizes resonance.

The standout Surf Green (SFG) finish gives it a unique, vibrant look that pairs vintage-inspired style with modern build quality.
