The RBT-1309WLN is a premium rack tom from Yamaha’s acclaimed Recording Custom series, designed in collaboration with top studio drummers to deliver precise, punchy, and versatile sound.

? Build & Materials

• Shell: 6-ply (approx. 6 mm thick) 100% North American birch. This shell construction offers a bright attack, strong midrange punch, and tight, controlled sustain — perfect for recording and live work.

• Bearing edges: 30° with a rounded R1.5 edge, which promotes easy tuning, improved attack, and a crisp, focused tone.

• Lugs: High-tension, weighted one-piece lugs help enhance low-end response and improve tuning stability, while reducing shell vibration for a cleaner sound.

• Hoops: 1.6 mm triple-flange steel hoops, providing an open, balanced tone and solid rimshot articulation.

• Mounting: Yamaha Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mount, designed to isolate the shell and allow it to resonate fully without interference from mounting hardware.
