• Shell: 6-ply (approx. 6 mm) 100% North American birch.
  Birch shells are known for their bright, punchy attack, strong projection, and clear, focused midrange.

• Bearing edges: 30° edges with a slightly rounded R1.5 edge radius.
  This design enhances attack and articulation while making tuning easier and more consistent.

• Lugs: High-tension, one-piece weighted lugs that help control shell vibrations, improving tuning stability and adding low-end punch.

• Hoops: 1.6 mm triple-flange steel hoops for an open, resonant sound with strong rim articulation.

• Mounting system: Yamaha’s Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) suspension mount allows the shell to resonate freely, maximizing sustain and tone.
