The Yamaha RLS-1455 is a 14" x 5.5" stainless steel snare drum from the Recording Custom series, known for its crisp, cutting tone and exceptional sensitivity. Its shell is made from 1.2 mm brushed stainless steel with an outward center bead, delivering a bright, powerful sound with a sharp attack that projects well in both studio and live settings.

The drum features 2.3 mm triple-flanged DynaHoops that help focus the sound and provide consistent tuning stability. It has a 45-degree bearing edge design, enhancing its responsiveness and articulation across a wide dynamic range.

It comes equipped with high-quality hardware, including a reliable Q-type strainer for smooth, quiet snare adjustments and a DC3 butt plate for secure tension control. The drum includes a 20-strand snare wire for a full, rich snare sound, as well as an additional 10-strand wire for a drier, more controlled tone option.
