The Yamaha RLS-1470 is a 14" x 7" stainless steel snare drum from the Recording Custom series, designed to deliver a powerful, crisp, and articulate sound. Its 1.2 mm brushed stainless steel shell with an outward center bead provides a bright, cutting tone with enhanced projection and presence, making it ideal for both studio recording and live performance.
With its deeper 7" shell, this snare offers greater body and a fatter backbeat compared to shallower models, while still maintaining sharp attack and excellent sensitivity. The drum features 2.3 mm triple-flanged DynaHoops that help control overtones and focus the sound, along with 45-degree bearing edges for consistent response and smooth articulation.
It is equipped with a Q-type throw-off and a DC3 butt plate, allowing precise and quiet snare tension adjustments. The drum includes a 25-strand snare wire for an extra snappy, crisp sound, and comes fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and a Hazy Ambassador snare-side head, ready for immediate use.
