The Roland AIRA Compact J-6 Chord Synthesizer is a portable sound module and chord sequencer that combines the classic sound of the legendary JUNO-60 synthesizer with a creative sequencing system. Designed for songwriting, live performance, beat production, and electronic music, the J-6 makes it easy to create musical ideas even without advanced music theory knowledge.

Powered by Roland’s Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, the J-6 recreates the distinctive character of the JUNO-60 with 64 carefully crafted synth presets. Its onboard keyboard can be used to play sounds directly, while MIDI connectivity allows the J-6 to work with external keyboards, controllers, hardware instruments, and music production software.

The built-in chord sequencer includes 64 patterns with up to 64 steps per pattern. With 100 chord sets covering a wide range of musical styles, you can quickly build chord progressions and add rhythmic variations, arpeggios, individual notes, and tempo changes. Style banks and variations provide additional movement, helping transform simple chord progressions into evolving musical phrases.

The J-6 also provides hands-on controls for shaping your sound. You can select different synth tones, adjust filter and envelope settings, and enhance your performance with customizable reverb and delay effects. Its compact AIRA Compact design makes it easy to integrate with other Roland AIRA Compact instruments, computers, mobile devices, and MIDI hardware.
