The Yamaha RRS-1455 is a 14" x 5.5" brass snare drum from the Recording Custom series, designed for players who demand clarity, projection, and dynamic versatility. Crafted with a 1.2 mm brass shell featuring an outward center bead, this snare delivers a bright, cutting attack while maintaining warmth and rich overtones.

Its medium-depth 5.5" shell strikes a balance between crisp articulation and full-bodied resonance, making it suitable for a wide range of musical styles — from tight, focused studio grooves to expressive live performances.

The drum features 2.3 mm DynaHoops for controlled overtones and focused rimshots, along with precision 45-degree bearing edges that enhance sensitivity and consistency across all dynamic levels. A smooth-operating Q-type throw-off and a sturdy DC3 butt plate allow for quick and reliable snare adjustments.
