The Yamaha SBB-1815CR is an 18" × 15" bass drum from the Stage Custom Birch series, finished in a striking Cranberry Red lacquer. Its 6-ply all-birch shell construction provides a tight, focused low-end with a strong, punchy attack and quick decay, ideal for styles that require clear definition and articulation.

This bass drum uses Yamaha’s Enhanced Sustain System (YESS) mounting, which minimizes hardware contact with the shell to preserve its natural resonance and sustain. Low-mass lugs help maintain shell vibration and support a more open, lively tone.

Triple-flanged steel hoops ensure durability and allow for easy tuning, while the die-cast claw hooks with rubber inserts reduce unwanted noise and protect the hoop finish. Sturdy bass drum legs with stoppers offer reliable stability on stage or in the studio.

The compact 18" diameter makes this drum particularly suited for smaller setups, tight performance spaces, or genres like jazz, fusion, and pop that benefit from quick response and precise sound.
