• Crafted from 6‑ply birch with Yamaha’s signature staggered diagonal seam, which enhances shell roundness and improves tonal stability 

• Equipped with 1.5 mm steel triple‑flanged hoops and low‑mass separate lugs—minimizing shell damping for better resonance and sustain

Mounting System

• Features Yamaha’s Enhanced Sustain System (YESS), which mounts hardware at the shell’s nodal points to preserve vibration while maintaining structural integrity .

Heads & Hardware

• Equipped with Remo UT Clear batter and resonant heads for a crisp attack and balanced tone.
