SBT-1208HA

The Yamaha SBT-1208HA is a 12-inch × 8-inch rack tom from the Stage Custom Birch series, finished in a bright, glossy Honey Amber. The shell is crafted from 100% birch wood using six thin plies. This construction provides a sharp, punchy attack with strong projection and clear, focused tone — ideal for various musical styles, from rock to jazz.

The tom uses Yamaha’s diagonal shell seam construction for better shell roundness and resonance. It features the YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system, which holds the drum securely while allowing it to vibrate freely, resulting in longer sustain and improved tone.

Low-mass lugs reduce the contact with the shell, helping preserve its natural resonance. The drum is equipped with triple-flanged steel hoops for an open sound and easier tuning. Factory-fitted clear heads on both batter and resonant sides provide a balanced and responsive tone right out of the box.
