The SBT‑1309HA is a 13" × 9" rack tom from Yamaha’s Stage Custom Birch series, featuring a glossy Honey Amber lacquer that highlights the birch’s natural grain. Its six‑ply, 100% birch shell produces a punchy attack with strong projection, crisp midrange, and a tight, controlled low end—perfect for genres ranging from rock to jazz.

Yamaha’s diagonal-seam construction ensures a consistently round shell with enhanced resonance. The tom is designed with Yamaha’s YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system, which securely supports the drum while allowing full shell vibration for longer sustain and richer tone. Low‑mass, separate lugs reduce shell interference, boosting resonance and enabling precise tuning.

Triple‑flanged steel hoops provide an open, lively sound and reliable tuning stability. The tom is fitted with clear Remo heads on both the batter and resonant sides, delivering a well‑balanced, dynamic sound right out of the box.
