Shure Transformer; Low Z, Female XLR to High Z 1/4" Phone Plug

The Shure A85F is a lineâ??matching transformer designed to connect a balanced, lowâ??impedance microphone output to an unbalanced, highâ??impedance input. It allows professional microphones with XLR connectors to be used with equipment that only has unbalanced highâ??impedance inputs, such as guitar amplifiers, effect pedals, older audio gear, or other ¼â??inch jack inputs. The A85F provides a voltage gain to help maintain proper signal level and operates passively (no external power required) inside a rugged, compact, shielded metal housing.
