The Compact Stagebox is a 4U rack-mountable expansion unit for Soundcraft digital consoles—including the Vi Series, Si Series, Vi1™, and Si Compact—offering a high-density I/O solution at a cost-effective price.

Out of the box, it typically includes:

• 32 mic/line inputs

• 8 line outputs

• 8 AES/EBU outputs

• 2 expansion slots compatible with standard Studer D21m I/O cards (which support formats like CobraNet, AVIOM, Ethersound, ADAT, RockNet, and optionally MADI)

It connects to the host console via Cat‑5 or optical‑fibre MADI, features redundant power supplies, thermostatic fan cooling, LED status indicators, and an 8‑channel GPIO interface. The modular design allows configurations such as extending mic input counts or adding a MADI recording card, while the MADI link caps the capacity at 64 in / 64 out.
