The Soundcraft Vi600 System Control Module is an official upgrade kit for legacy Soundcraft Vi6 digital mixing consoles. It modernizes the console’s internal control electronics by replacing the original “silver box” control module with a faster, more reliable processor and graphics system capable of running updated Soundcraft software.

Description

Once installed, the console retains the external appearance of a Vi6, but internally operates and identifies as a Vi600 within the system menu. The new control module runs a variant of Soundcraft’s V6.x software platform, delivering improved responsiveness, updated graphics, and enhanced control features.

System Limitations

Despite the upgrade, some limitations remain due to the original Vi6 surface and DSP architecture:

• 128-channel input operation is not enabled, remaining constrained by the surface and Local Rack hardware.

• 96 kHz high sample-rate operation is not supported.

• Advanced processing features such as BSS DPR901ii Dynamic EQ and vMIX automatic microphone mixing are not included.
