Description
The CPS2000 is a linear power supply that generates DC voltages by rectifying, filtering, and regulating AC voltages from the transformer’s secondary windings. Soundcraft mixing consoles require multiple DC voltage levels for operation, all of which are delivered by this power supply. During voltage regulation, a significant amount of heat is produced, which is managed by large heat sinks located on either side of the unit. To maintain proper cooling and lower the external case temperature, the CPS2000 features two fans that actively pull air across the heat sinks, ensuring efficient heat dissipation for the regulators.
