The Yamaha TMT-1208CAS is a 12" × 8" rack tom from Yamaha’s Tour Custom Maple series, designed for drummers who want warm, full-bodied maple tone with excellent projection.

Built with a 6-ply, 5.6 mm all-maple shell, this tom delivers rich lows, smooth mids, and a clear, articulate attack—perfect for both live performance and studio use. The 45-degree bearing edges help create a quick, focused response and controlled sustain.

The 2.3 mm Inverse DynaHoops further focus the sound and reduce unwanted overtones, while Yamaha’s Absolute single-post lugs maximize shell resonance and ensure stable, easy tuning.

Equipped with the Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system, it allows the drum to vibrate freely for greater sustain and improved tonal quality.

Finished in an eye-catching Candy Apple Satin, the TMT-1208CAS stands out visually on stage and showcases the natural maple grain through its smooth, vibrant lacquer.
