The Yamaha TMT-1208CHS is a 12" × 8" rack tom from Yamaha’s Tour Custom Maple series, designed to deliver a rich, warm maple sound with focused attack and smooth sustain.

Built with a 6-ply, 5.6 mm all-maple shell, it offers deep low-end, clear mids, and crisp highs—perfect for both live and studio playing. The 45-degree bearing edges enhance articulation and responsiveness, while the 2.3 mm Inverse DynaHoops help control overtones for a clean, focused sound.

The drum is equipped with Yamaha’s Absolute single-post lugs, minimizing shell contact to maximize resonance and ensure stable, precise tuning. The Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system allows the tom to vibrate freely, giving it greater sustain and more natural tone.

Finished in a sophisticated Chocolate Satin lacquer, the TMT-1208CHS shows off the natural maple grain with a warm, professional look that stands out on any stage.
