Yamaha MY16-MD64 MADI Multi-Channel Audio Networking Expansion Card

The Yamaha MY16-MD64 is a high-capacity MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) expansion card designed to increase digital audio channel count—up to 64 channels—when used alongside MY16-EX expansion cards. You can scale your system by adding one MY16-EX card for 32 channels, two for 48, and three for the full 64 channels.

This card supports bi-directional audio transfer with two connection options:

• Coaxial for distances up to 100 meters

• Optical for extended runs up to 2,000 meters

Built for reliability, it features automatic redundancy switching—seamlessly switching from optical to coaxial if the optical connection is disrupted. The optical interface also ensures complete isolation from electromagnetic interference, making it highly stable in electrically noisy environments.
