The AMX HARMAN Varia VARIA-SL80 is an ultra-slim 8-inch professional-grade touch panel designed for elegant in-wall AV control, room automation, scheduling, and collaboration applications. Featuring a compact design optimized for standard single-gang electrical box installations, the VARIA-SL80 provides a modern, low-profile interface solution for conference rooms, executive offices, classrooms, hospitality environments, and enterprise spaces.

Built around AMX’s Persona-Defined experience, the VARIA-SL80 allows organizations to customize the panel’s functionality through pre-loaded personas that transform the device into a dedicated platform for different applications. Available personas include Any-App for running Android applications, Web Kiosk for browser-based interfaces, Zoom Rooms Controller for conferencing environments, AMX Book Scheduling for room reservation management, and AMX G5 Control for advanced AV system control.

The touch panel features an ultra-slim chassis with a capacitive multi-touch display, integrated speakers, dual microphones, and a front-facing HD camera to support interactive communication and collaboration applications. Advanced sensing technologies, including NFC read/write, proximity detection, and ambient light sensing, enable intelligent room interaction and improved user experiences.

Designed for enterprise-level security and management, the VARIA-SL80 supports modern security protocols including HTTPS, 802.1X, TLS 1.3, and modern authentication technologies. The integrated setup wizard simplifies initial configuration, while AVX Manager enables centralized updates and configuration management across multiple Varia devices.

The VARIA-SL80 also features customizable side LED lighting with over one million selectable colors, allowing integrators to create visual indicators for room status, notifications, scheduling availability, and custom applications. Powered through PoE, this touch panel provides a streamlined installation with reduced cabling requirements.
