The BOSS OC-5 Octave is a versatile octave pedal designed for both guitar and bass. It combines the classic sound of the BOSS OC-2 with modern polyphonic tracking, giving players a wide range of octave effects for leads, chords, bass lines, and creative textures.

The pedal features Vintage and Poly modes. Vintage mode delivers the classic mono octave sound with -1 and -2 octave controls, while Poly mode tracks chords and multiple notes smoothly and adds bass-like root notes to your playing. The Range control lets you limit the octave effect to a specific part of the instrument's range.

A dedicated +1 Octave control adds higher-octave tones for creating 12-string-style textures, bright harmonies, and aggressive lead sounds. The Guitar/Bass switch optimizes the tracking response for either instrument.

The OC-5 also includes a Direct Out for sending a clean, unaffected signal to a separate amplifier or PA system. Its advanced tracking engine provides fast and accurate response with low latency, making it suitable for both live performance and studio use.
