The JBL Control 29AV-1 Black is a premium 2-way indoor/outdoor monitor loudspeaker designed for professional sound reinforcement, background music, foreground music, paging, and audiovisual applications. As part of JBL’s acclaimed Control Contractor Series, the Control 29AV-1 delivers exceptional audio performance, extended frequency response, and high output capability while maintaining the durability required for commercial and outdoor installations.

The loudspeaker features a powerful 8-inch low-frequency woofer paired with JBL’s high-performance compression driver and horn assembly, providing outstanding clarity, high intelligibility, and strong low-frequency performance. Its advanced acoustic design delivers consistent coverage and excellent sonic accuracy for both speech and music applications.

A built-in 70V/100V multi-tap transformer enables integration into distributed audio systems commonly used in commercial installations. Multiple transformer tap settings provide flexibility in system design and power allocation, while an 8-ohm direct-input mode allows operation with conventional low-impedance amplifier systems.

The Control 29AV-1 incorporates a rotatable high-frequency horn, allowing installers to maintain optimal coverage regardless of whether the loudspeaker is mounted vertically or horizontally. This feature enhances installation flexibility and helps ensure consistent sound distribution throughout the coverage area.
